Sheehy Announces over $5 Million in State Spending
Representative Michael
Sheehy (D-Toledo) this week announced the release of more
than $5 million in state funds from the Ohio Controlling
Board for several projects in House District 46.
Two separate projects on
Airport Highway in Springfield will redesign the McCord Rd
intersection ($550,000) and rehabilitate the bridge over
I-475 ($2 million).
The third district project
to receive funds will take place at Maumee Bay State Park,
with improvements totaling over $2.8 million.
"I feel confident that we'll
continue to see new projects coming from the state this
budget cycle," said Rep. Sheehy. "I'm proud of the work this
legislature did to reinvest in Northwest Ohio's
infrastructure, and we'll keep fighting to do more."
The funds were approved at
Monday's meeting of the state Controlling Board, a
bipartisan panel that oversees state spending.
