Mildred Bayer Clinic for the Homeless
UT Nursing students donated hundreds of personal hygiene
kits to Mildred Bayer Clinic for the Homeless on November
13, 2019 at 9:30 am.
The Mildred Bayer Clinic for the Homeless, a member of the
Neighborhood Health Association, is a health care clinic
that provides both medical and dental services to Toledo’s
homeless population.
These services are available to adults and children.
Children are seen by NHA pediatricians and are eligible for
the same services offered to adults.
In addition to these services, Mildred Bayer also provides
personal hygiene kits to their patients that can include
shampoo, soap, deodorant, a toothbrush and toothpaste.
“These kits are the first items we run out of at the clinic,
even before the clothing.” says Cassandra McKinstry, manager
of Homeless Services at Mildred Bayer. |
