With children heading back to school, there’s no better time
for individuals and families to get
trained as licensed foster/adoptive caregivers through Lucas
County Children Services (LCCS). The agency is looking for
families willing to foster children of all ages, from babies
to teens, as well as groups of brothers and sisters.
You might be just the right foster parent for one or more of
these youth, who need adults to care for them while their
parents resolve the issues in their lives.
The agency is again providing its free information and
training classes to prepare you for fostering or adopting.
Tuesday/Thursday evening classes begin September 5 and run
through October 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday classes are
scheduled from October 14 through November 18, from 9 a.m.
until 4 p.m. Classes take place at the agency’s offices at
705 Adams Street in downtown Toledo.
For information, or to register for either session, please
call 419-213-3336 or visit
www.lucaskids.net.
