T-Bonds Holds Third Annual Back to School Bash

On the grounds of the former Nathan Hale Elementary School, T-Bonds, a local bail bands company, held the its annual Back to School Bash on the weekend of August 12-13 featuring free screenings, food, dunk tanks, bouncy houses, school supplies, entertainment and children’s games.
 

Hundreds of neighborhood residents turned out for the third annual event during which bicycles were also given away to some of the lucky youngsters in addition to well over 500 bookbags. The weekend featured live performances by the KGB Band on Saturday and Dazz Band on Sunday.

T-Bonds also presented certificates of appreciation to five individuals who have been so instrumental in the success of the event – Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson, Terry Crosby, David Fleetwood, Willie Knighten and Robin Reese.

“It was awesome,” said Tina Butts of T-Bonds and the organizer of weekend’s festival.

Sponsors also included Laborers Local 500 and CareSource.
