The firm will look at access to capital, lending
opportunities, counseling and small business systems, and
contracting environment. We’ve received questions about why
the city has committed a large amount of money to having
this study done. The reason why this is important to have
this disparities study done, is legally you cannot have a
program that is race and gender conscious without having
data to support the need for those programs.”

Jobs Center will remain closed to general public, but staff

However, once red status is lifted, we will open for
appointments. There are nearly 10,000 jobs posted on the
website within 20 miles of downtown Toledo, some are entry
level or high-level positions that required experience and
degrees. If you’re talking to people who feel discouraged,
there are jobs out there. We’re working with employers and
hopefully people can find jobs that fit their needs,”
