Lucas County to Partner with UAW Local 12 on Job Fair
OhioMeansJobs Lucas County is partnering with the United
Auto Workers (UAW) Local 12 to hold a person-to-person job
fair from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, at
the UAW Local 12 Hall, 2300 Ashland Ave.
Job seekers have the opportunity to schedule interviews with
employers on a first-come, first serve basis by going to
http://bit.ly/UAW-Interview and selecting the company
and reserving a time frame. Interested individuals can
schedule interviews with multiple companies. Attendees
should bring their resume and dress appropriately to impress
prospective employers.
OhioMeansJobs Lucas County is available to assist job
seekers with the sign-up process by calling 419-213-5627.
Representatives from the following employers will be
participating in the Job Fair to conduct 10-minute in-person
interviews with job seekers under health department
guidelines and with appropriate personal protection
equipment:

Detroit Manufacturing Systems (DMS)

·
Faurecia Clean Mobility
·
Toledo Molding and Die (Grammar)
·
Caravan Facilities Management
After registering online, an email will be sent to job
seekers to confirm their scheduled interview and provide
additional instructions they will need for the Job Fair.
Job seekers will be required to stay in their vehicles or
outside the UAW Local 12 Hall to abide by appropriate social
distancing restrictions and will be required to cover their
face until they are called into the building for their
interview. Face coverings will be mandatory for everyone,
both job seekers and company representatives.
The deadline to schedule interviews for the Job Fair is 5
p.m. Wednesday, October 21.
