In 2019, Toledo will be building on the success of last
years AAWALK by bring together the community to host the
African American Male Wellness Initiative 5k Walk/Run. This
health awareness campaign, which has been in existence
nationwide for more than 15 years, will bring together
various entities with the community to collectively address
the health of African American men. Looking at the
challenges facing African American men and their families,
it is our understanding that our readrs share the same
vision as AAWALK, to empower individuals and raise awareness
regarding the health disparities impacting African American
