Parent University Is Offering a Free Mini-Leadership Conference for Parents, Caregivers, Parent Leaders and Teachers.

  • Parent University is holding a free Parent Leadership Mini-Conference for Parents, Caregivers, Teachers and Parent Leaders, especially PTO and Booster Club parents. This event will take place at Start High School, 2010 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, OH 43613 on April 13th, 2019  from 9:15a-12:30p,

“This conference has something for everyone. Special presentations include our keynote speaker, Bill Geha, and  breakout sessions with topics such as, Steps to Managing a Successful Parent Organization, Helping Your Student with Bullies, How to Talk to Youth About Opiates, and more. There will be free breakfast and free childcare, as well as transportation assistance for anyone who needs it” said Erin O’Bryan, manager of Parent University at Partners in Education.

Since 2015, Toledo Public Schools has been partnering with Partners in Education to bring Parent University to the  community. Toledo Parent University partners with schools, community agencies and organizations to offer free courses, family events and activities to help parents become full partners in their children’s education. Toledo Public Schools sponsors the program with additional support from local businesses, local foundations and area nonprofits.
