The Toledo Harley Boyz &
Girlz Social Riding Club held their second annual Blackout
event Saturday November 29 at Gardenlake Hall, Dorr St. The
event was to benefit their Adopt A Family program. Club
President Wayne Blanchard said, “This year we adopted a
single mom with three kids and all of the proceeds that we
generate from this event will go to our family”.
Guest enjoyed a
buffet-style dinner as spoken word artist Michael Barringer
recited his original, rich, poetic words. Later in the
evening, comedians Demeco Lewis and Moka’s sidesplitting
comedy entertained the crowd. TV’s and tablets were part of
the raffle and door prize give-aways and DJ Keith Success
was on hand doing what he does best.
One couldn’t help but
notice the decked out, matching attire of The Harley Boyz
and Girlz which added to the evening’s elegant and classy
all black affair.
The Toledo Harley Boyz &
Girlz Social Riding Club was founded in 2009. Part of their
mission is to effectively find ways to give back and
strengthen their community, and raise awareness of the sport
of motorcycle through sponsored rides, fundraisers and
special events. The Toledo Harley Boyz & Girlz promote unity
by joining as an organization in support of both personal
and community growth.
