Indiana Avenue MBC Celebrates 33rd Annual Senior
Citizens Weekend
This past weekend, Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church,
celebrated their 33rd Annual Senior Citizens Weekend in the
Stephenson-Roberts Fellowship Hall. On the morning of
Saturday, May 17, 2014, the ninth annual Senior Citizens
Prayer Breakfast took place with special quest speaker
Sister Kenyetta Jones.
Three members were inducted into the Senior Citizens Hall of
Fame; Sister Frankie Anderson for her contribution in the
arts, Mother Evelyn Boykin for medicine and health and
Brother Bernard Curtis for education.
On Sunday, May 18, 2014, was the Annual Senior Citizens Day
Worship Services. The theme was "Be Still! - Christ Our
Peace Can Calm Every Storm!" with Reverend Roy McElya.
