Community Resources and Expert Panel Sessions for School
Administrators, Educators, Parents and Students

As part of its year-long Preventing Bullying = Creating
Safety initiative, WGTE Public Media and its partner
Fostering Healthy Communities (Mercy, ProMedica and the
University of Toledo Medical Center) is hosting a prevention
and intervention edufair at WGTE's studios, 1270 S. Detroit
Ave. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Panel discussions featuring noted experts as well as
exhibitors will offer information and resources to school
administrators, teachers, parents, kids and members of the
community who are interested in learning more about bullying
prevention and intervention.

4:00-5:00 p.m.: Creating Effective Policies
Topics will include: How to create a model K-12 policy that
fits state mandates

Fostering Healthy Communities
is a collaborative effort of ProMedica, Mercy and the
University of Toledo Medical Center to mobilize partnerships
to address the Healthy Lucas County Health Improvement
Priorities: addressing health disparities, increasing access
to care, increasing youth safety, promoting healthy living
and decreasing tobacco use.
