Herr Trump is getting a big boost from his recent
jabbings at the NFL champion, the Philadelphia Eagles for
their collective refusal to give him any goodie points by
being seen with him in a self serving photo op at the White
House.
Even recently, both the Cavaliers and the Warriors
basketball teams have already put Herr Trump on notice that
whoever wins the series, that team will not stain their
victory by being identified with a race baiter and race
hater.
So. What does Herr Trump do? He hastily gathers
together a small military assembly of singers and a quickly
convened audience to hear and watch the military singers
sing God Bless America and The National Anthem.
But lo and to no one's surprise, the Commander-In-Chief
does not even know the words to those two songs! Yes, if you
watch the videos, Herr Trump is seen lip synching or not
singing at all.
That is how much of a moron he is that he did not take
the time to learn the words to the first verses of both
songs but rather he stands there like a scarecrow and tries
to fake it with his lips moving...now and then.
A total con job!
But for Herr Trump such matters are of no consequence.
He will simply call it fake news that he did not know the
words.
For Trump, there is bigger fish to fry and that is he
has found a new weapon by which to attack his opponents in
his cultural wars and that will be the weaponization of the
American flag.
Knowing that the highly vaunted tax cut bill only truly
benefited the very rich and wealthy, Trump needs a new horse
to lead the Republican charge in the mid terms and it will
be along the lines of, "If you don't stand for the national
anthem, you are not worthy of being in this country!"
Herr Trump knows that his base will hop on that hot
band wagon and ride it until the wheels fall off. That is
how crass he is and that is how intellectually marginalized
his base is if they believe that con job.
And sadly, they will believe it and accept it and his
comrade in arms, to wit: Fox News will spew forth that
gibberish and broadcast and rebroadcast his idea of what
America should look ...him and his base.
To say that racism is experiencing a strong resurgence
in America is an understatement.
Now, with the advent of cell phone cameras,
practically it seems that every incident of foul racial
hatred is being uploaded to social media including
blatant police assaults on people of color and some white
folks being emboldened by Trump's racial hostilities to act
in a similar fashion.
I have even heard that Republican air head Rick
Santorum has said on national news that former President
Obama is partly responsible for this rise in back lash
racism because Obama spoke out when he commented on victims
of police misconduct being minorities.
In other words, Santorum was saying Obama should have
shut up when he commented on racial profiling and the unjust
murder of black males and since, he did not do so, some
white people now have the license to retaliate in order to
nullify Obama's presence and his pronouncements on race.
That is the type of inane logic that so many
Republicans use in order to discredit Obama and justify the
extremes of Herr Trump.
When any person can say that Neo-Nazi's are good
people, America is in deep do-do since too many people take
their social cues from the occupant of the White House; and
for Herr Trump, he is not only bleating out racist dog
whistles but is also using a bull horn to tell his base, "I
got you covered!"
The virulent stain of America, it unspeakable and
horrendous record of slavery and its progeny of Jim Crow, is
cropping up again and Herr Trump has no misgivings is using
it and the flag as a battering ram to move America
back...not forward.
If anyone is of the notion that Herr Trump is a uniter
and is a man of compassion or is even a poor student of
history, they are delusional at best.
Trump has offered no clues whatsoever that he has a
modicum of understanding the history of this country. He is
determined at any costs to make America white again.
P.S.: Don't be beguiled by Herr Trump's recent attempts to
pardon Jack Johnson or even Muhammad Ali or he asking black
football players to give him suggestions on whom to pardon.
This is a cheap parlor trick to have gullible black folks
think that Trump has turned over a new leaf in race
relations.
