Banquet is held annually to provide funding for both the
local and national NAACP operating expenses. And in
addition the funds from the banquet also helps fund the
Toledo chapter’s ACT-SO program for local youth giving them
an experience of a lifetime as they compete for bronze,
silver, and gold awards, potential scholarships and other
great opportunities.
This year’s guest speaker
was Ben Jealous, former president and CEO of the National
NAACP and a Democratic candidate for governor of Maryland.
