YWCA Announces the 22nd Annual “Milestones: A Tribute to Women” 2017 Honorees

On Tuesday, January 10, the YWCA of Northwest Ohio announced its 2017 honorees for the 22nd annual “Milestones: A Tribute to Women” awards in the traditional categories of arts, business, education, government, science, social sciences and volunteerism.

The annual awards luncheon will be held on March 20 at the SeaGate Convention Centre.

“The members of the TWCA and I are honored to recognize these outstanding women with this prestigious award,” said Lisa McDuffie, president and CEO of the YWCA of Northwest Ohio. “We invite the community to join us for this awards luncheon and help us pay tribute to this year’s Milestones Honorees.”

The 2017 Honorees are: Ann Cipriani, health coordinator for the Toledo Public Schools for her contributions in the social sciences; Gretchen Downs, board member of Perrysburg Schools in education; Kimberly Kaufman, executive director of the Black Bird Swamp Observatory in science; Rhonda Sewell (a past YYCA board member) manager of external and governmental affairs for the Toledo Lucas County Public Library in volunteerism; Diane Attie, professor emeritus of art at The Center of Visual Arts in arts; Janet Zale, a detective with the Oregon Police Department in government and Sheila Dwyer Schwartz, principal consultant and founder of Dwyer Philanthropy in business.
