Cherry Street and Goodwill Double Donations for Cold Weather
Relief to Homeless Guests
Special to The Truth
Cherry Street Mission Ministries and Goodwill Industries of
Northwest Ohio are partnering together to turn Goodwill
donations into vouchers for winter clothing for Cherry
Street guests.
As temperatures continue to plummet, Cherry Street Mission
Ministries has an urgent need for winter clothing for guests
staying at the organization’s emergency shelter. On
Wednesday, December 21, 2016, donations of items and goods
collected at select locations will be turned into vouchers.
The vouchers will then be provided by Cherry Street to
shelter guests for redemption at any Goodwill store.
The following Greater Toledo locations are participating:
•Cherry Street
•Country Squire
•DeVeaux
•Genoa
•Glendale
•Holland Sylvania
•Navarre
•Perrysburg
•Point Place
•Reynolds Road
•Sylvania/King
On Tuesday, December 27, the Goodwill store located at 525
Cherry Street, Toledo, will be closed to the general public
in order to serve voucher recipients between the hours of
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Goodwill accepts donations of gently used clothing and
household goods during business hours at any retail location
