Councilman Tyrone Riley Presents: Cool Summer Breeze Concert
in the Park

The Cool Summer Breeze Concert in the Park was held August
31 at the Ottawa Park Amphitheater, sponsored by Toledo City
Councilman Tyrone Riley of District 1 and hosted by Kerry
Emery.
Riley said the idea to have a concert came out of his love
for his community and wanting to have a nice event for the
underutilized amphitheater. Said Riley: “The amphitheater is
a city jewel that we should take more advantage of and I
wanted to give the residence of this community the
opportunity to enjoy music in the park.”

Emery said she agreed to participate in the event because
she loves hosting and she’s always ready to assist when it's
about bringing good people together. “I love my city, I've
been here all my life and I'm well connected to some GREAT
people here and I realize I'm here for a reason and that’s
bringing people together for a worthy cause,” said Emery.
Riley said he was very satisfied with the turn out
considering it was their first such event and he has plans
for doing it again. “I’m looking forward to doing it again,”
said Riley, “twice next year, spring and toward late summer.
I think it helps improve upon the life of the city and gives
people something to look forward to.”
The performers included Toledo’s own Shawn Kane, Melody Tate
and local bands FU5ION and Quarter Till featuring Art Bishop
and music by DJ Keith Success.
