TLCPL Rooftop Bash a Soaring Sixties Success

Some 300 Library supporters Swung by the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library’s 1960s-themed ROOFTOP BASH, an outdoor/indoor event presented by PNC and hosted by the Library Legacy Foundation.

The event atop Main Library’s Civic Plaza Rooftop was the perfect evening as blue skies and perfect summer weather served as the backdrop for a fun “friend” and fundraiser. The event, expected to net some $14,000 to benefit youth programs and the purchased of books for the Library, saw many attendees in both 1960s and cocktail attire. Bashers danced to the sounds of HepCat Revival, and dined and grazed on delicious hors d’oeuvres by Mancy’s Catering.

The fun was enhanced by a wine ring toss, and a raffle of a diamond necklace donated by David Fairclough Fine Jewelers. Attendees were excited by the fundraiser’s parting gift of a library book, which they selected from a clever display.
