Owens Community College to Offer Job Ready Training and Job Fair

Owens Community College and Ohio Means Jobs, Lucas County are offering a free Job Ready Training and Job Fair. Participants can choose from several Job Ready Career Discovery Courses such as:

• Welding Jobs and Skill - Learn about jobs in welding, what skills are needed. Enjoy hands on experience with Virtual Welder.

• Office Services - Find out what it takes (skills and aptitude) to be successful in an office environment today.

• Healthcare Career Opportunities - Discover employment opportunities in healthcare and skills necessary to get started now.  Identify grant and other funding sources.

• Personal Transportation job opportunities - Discover employment in the field of personal transportation.  Identify jobs and skills necessary for employment.

• Job Ready Skill Assessment - Discover your skill levels and opportunities to grow them. Learn what it takes to close your personal skills gap.

No registration or fee is required but space is limited. The events will take place at the Owens Learning Center in The Source Building at 1301 Monroe Street on Friday, March 21. The classes will start at 8 a.m. and the job fair at noon. For more information call 567-661-2732 or 419-213-5627.
