Lucas County Auditor Anita Lopez is partnering with Seagate
Food Bank for this important cause. Lopez appeared at the
Fallen Timbers Mall on Monday, February 17 (President’s
Day), to accept donations and thank Food Bank supporters.
The event ran from 11:30 to 1:00pm.
Additionally, Seagate Food Bank has provided a drop off box
in the Auditor’s Office at One Government Center for County
employees while other locations for drop off include:
Concept Rehab, all Genoa Bank locations, Phi-Sigma Rho-Delta
(University of Toledo), The Pharmacy Counter (all
locations), Dan R’s Automotive and ServiceMaster Clean.
Seagate Food Bank collects bedtime items through the month
of February and then makes individual packs, using pillow
cases, filled with things they have collected. Last year the
Food Bank gave away approximately 500 kits and this year
they are hoping to raise the number to 750. |
